Bluesky Rolls Out Smarter Notifications With More Custom Controls

Bluesky just introduced three major updates aimed at making notifications more personalized and less overwhelming.
Key Changes:
Custom activity alerts: You can now get notified whenever specific accounts post or reply.
Granular notification settings: Fine-tune alerts for likes, replies, mentions, quotes, reposts, and more — even filter them by “everyone” or “people you follow.”
New repost alerts: Get notified when someone likes or reposts content you've reshared — a win for curators, not just creators.
How to Use It:
Head to Settings → Notifications to adjust what alerts you want.
Visit any profile and tap the bell icon to get post/reply alerts from that account.
Note: Not all accounts will allow notifications — users can opt out or restrict them to followers only.
These updates replace Bluesky’s older “priority notifications” and bring it closer to feature parity with platforms like X and Threads, but with more user control.
