“SaaS is Going Away”: Narada AI Bets Big on Agentic AI to Transform Enterprise Software
Jul 9, 2025
Dave Park, co-founder and CEO of Narada AI, boldly declares, “SaaS is going away.” The company is placing a big bet on what it sees as the next evolution in enterprise software — agentic AI.
Park explained why change is imminent: “The typical knowledge worker today juggles between 17 to 25 different SaaS tools and portals every day, wasting two and a half hours just manually looking up or updating these systems.” His vision? A future where instead of dozens of siloed apps, data lives in databases accessed seamlessly by AI agents that take your requests and autonomously operate across platforms to get the job done.
What is Agentic AI?
Narada AI’s foundation is built on innovative research from UC Berkeley, and it debuted at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024 with a new class of AI models called large action models. These are a unique twist on large language models (LLMs) capable of reasoning through and completing multi-step tasks across different work tools — even when those tools lack APIs.
Why Does This Matter?
Park’s insight arrives at a pivotal moment for AI in the enterprise space. The recent Y Combinator batch included over 70 startups focused on agentic AI, signaling strong momentum in this new category. Additionally, major players like Grammarly are racing to build comprehensive AI work stacks through acquisitions and partnerships.
On the podcast, Park sat down with Equity host Rebecca Bellan to dive deep into what agentic AI really means, how it’s different from traditional automation, and what enterprises need to do to embrace it at scale.
A Future Beyond SaaS
Park’s message is clear: the SaaS model — fragmented, siloed, and time-consuming — will give way to an integrated AI-driven future where “the data, the databases, and AI agents” work together fluidly. This shift could redefine how knowledge workers spend their days, saving hours wasted on manual updates and lookups.
